James R. Leonard, M.D.
Physician Bio
A native Cincinnatian, Dr. Leonard graduated from St. Xavier High School, Xavier University and University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. He completed his Orthopaedic surgery residency at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center.
Dr. Leonard has been caring for patients with bone, muscle and joint problems since 1986 in Greater Cincinnati. “I’ve always enjoyed treating patients who have a variety of orthopaedic problems with an emphasis on hip, knee, shoulder and ankle issues,” he says. “And having raised five children of my own, I love taking care of kids.” His realm of surgical expertise ranges from arthroscopy to total joint replacements including direct anterior hip replacement surgery. Now enjoying the benefits of having an empty nest, Dr. Leonard and his lovely wife, Lori, reside in Loveland. When he’s not in the office or in the operating room, he enjoys spending time with his family, riding motorcycles and wood-working, yet another mechanical pursuit.
