Fellowship Opportunities

Wellington Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine, The University of Cincinnati School of Medicine and Mercy Hospital Anderson have collaborated to create a premier orthopedic sports medicine and shoulder Fellowship. The fellowship is accredited by the ACGME- Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education, AOSSM- American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine, and AANA- Arthroscopy Association of North America.

The fellowship is available to orthopedic surgeons who have completed a residency in orthopedic surgery. This one-year fellowship program provides in-depth experience to the operative and non-operative treatment of all shoulder and sports medicine disorders. Through participation in clinics, surgical procedures, and team coverage (high school, college, amateur, and professional) and research, the fellows gain experience and develop the skills to become sound practitioners of sports medicine.

The clinical faculty includes Dr. Robert Heidt, Jr., Dr. Angelo Colosimo (University of Cincinnati), Dr. Paul Favorito, Dr. Denver Stanfield, and Dr. Ronald Hess.
