Why is the actual cost of orthotics different than what was quoted to me?

The charge of the orthotic may be different than your actual out of pocket expense or “cost”. Physicians must charge the same amount to every insurance company for a particular service. This applies to Bracing and Orthotics as well. However, reimbursement is based on the contracted rate that an individual has with his/her insurance company. Some items may not be a covered benefit based on your individual plan.

How can I find out which procedures a doctor specializes in?

Can I return my equipment (i.e. braces, crutches)?

Braces and orthotics cannot be returned for a refund. These products are medical grade single use items which are much like a prescription at the pharmacy. However, within the first 60 days of receiving the product, if there is a Manufacturer defect the product it will be replaced with the same or similar product.
