Amelia J. Wiggins, D.O.
Physician Bio
Dr. Wiggins is a sports medicine fellowship trained Orthopedic Surgeon who specializes in all treatment of knee, shoulder, and sports medicine injuries. She has special interests in the treatment of knee disorders including ACL injury, prevention and return to play protocols, patella instability, and cartilage restoration.
As a Division I student-athlete at the University of Louisville, Dr. Wiggins was an elite level soccer player and rower, earning All-American honors during her rowing career. Her experiences as a competitive athlete and undergoing multiple ACL reconstructions helped shape her decision to pursue medicine and specifically sparked her passion for sports medicine.
Dr. Wiggins is active in her community and serves as team physician for New Richmond High School, Bethel High School, and Clermont Crew. She continues to live an active lifestyle that includes hiking, yoga, rowing, and biking. Her athletic pursuits keep her in touch with the local sports community and athletes of all ages.
