Tennis Elbow
Most common among adults age 20-40, tennis elbow is an inflammation of
tendons in the bony areas of the elbow. It is characterized by pain over
the outside of the elbow. This intensifies when bending the arm or twisting
the hand and arm, as in activities such as tennis, golfing or gardening,
or as in occupations that require repetitive forearm movement.
Treatments include ceasing the repetitive activity until symptoms disappear,
using heat or ice to relieve pain, massage therapy and manipulation, and
over the counter anti-inflammatory drugs. If symptoms don't improve after
two weeks, seek medical assistance
