Torn Rotator Cuff

The Rotator Cuff is composed of four muscles on top of the shoulder that serve to rotate the arm in and out and stabilize the humerus bone when lifting.

A tear in this region generates more intense pain than is associated with tendonitis . Movement is very limited and diagnosis must be made by a qualified medical professional. An MRI may be necessary to identify the scope of the injury. Surgery is often the best hope for recovery.
