Dr. Stephen Dailey has a special role at Wellington Orthopaedic & Sportsmedicine that you won't find in any other orthopaedic or sportsmedicine organization in the Cincinnati area. Dr. Dailey serves as the Primary Care Specialist on the Wellington team.
In this position, he is defining the primary care musculoskeletal role for the practice. His unique training and education has helped prepare him for this unique position.

Dr. Dailey graduated cum laude from the Ohio State University College of Medicine. He then served as chief resident at the University of Cincinnati Department of Emergency Medicine and later received additional training in primary care sportsmedicine. He is one of only 18 board certified emergency medicine specialists to complete such a fellowship.

"Going into emergency medicine gave me the opportunity to look at the patient's full needs, not just the musculoskeletal system," said the Cincinnati native.

Dr. Dailey, who was an Academic All-American in football at Miami University, has put his interests in medicine and sports together, and now serves as director of sportsmedicine at the school. Working primarily out of Wellington's Westside office, he also sees many weekend warriors who push their body's limits.

"My advice is to try and pick a fun activity that gives you long-standing cardiovascular and musculoskeletal conditioning," said Dr. Dailey, who is married and has two children. "If you stick with an activity, you'll stay in shape, which really pays off."
