Arthur
F. Lee, M.D., F.A.C.S.
At the young age of 7, Arthur Lee
announced to his mother that he was going to be a doctor someday. Turns out, the
notion was more than just a youngster's fantasy.
Art Lee followed his dream and graduated
summa cum laude from the University of Dayton with his undergraduate degree. He went
on to complete his medical degree, surgical internship and residency at the University
of Cincinnati.
Dr. Lee, who sees all types of orthopaedic
patients at the Anderson Township office, has been in practice for 10 years. He joined
Wellington Orthopaedic & Sportsmedicine last year. "For me, surgery is the
last resort, not the first course of action," said Dr. Lee, a board-certified
surgeon.
An avid golfer himself, Dr. Lee treats many sports fractures. He also has a special
interest in treating women with osteoporosis. "Especially through the child-bearing
years, women need volumes of calcium" said Dr. Lee, who also serves as chief
of orthopaedic surgery at Mercy Hospital Anderson. "It's an area that I see
is horribly neglected."
In addition to these medical duties,
Dr. Lee is a diplomate with the National Board of Medical Examiners. This qualifies
him to serve as an independent, expert medical authority in cases of litigation.
Dr. Lee lives in Anderson Township
with his wife, Caryn, and their three children.
